Description It contains in 1ml 50mg of free iodine and about 130mg of total iodine. Aqueous Iodine Oral Solution has sometimes been known as Schiller's Iodine. Dosage Usual dose 0.3mL 3 times daily. One drop of Lugol's contains about 6.5 mg of iodine. 100 ml bottles hold around 2000 drops.

5% Iodine (I2), 10% Potassium Iodide (KI), and 85% water (H2O). This is the correct combination of Iodine and Potassium Iodide to be called Lugol’s Solution.  It was first developed by French physician Dr. Jean Lugol in the 1820s.
Iodine In small dosage is important for the health of the thyroid gland. It is effective in destroying many unfriendly microorganisms including Candida. It is valuable for fungal conditions of the skin.
